SASS was originally started by Mama/JudiBug with two senior Texas dudes (Sammy and Andy) and later added two young sisfurs (Shelly and Sierra). Sammy ran off to the Bridge in May of 2012 and Andy April 2013. Our dear, sweet Mama/JudiBug passed in November of 2012, after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. TraciBug is now attempting to keep the blog going. Polli and Boston were added to the family in the summer of 2013.

I am sorry but I have no experience. Chrystal at http://dogsandcats.typepad.com/blog/ would know what to do. I could not find an email address for her.
I understand that there is some commercial KITTEN Formula available in pet stores... and the proper type of bottles... BUT you REALLY should take it to a VET immediately because those formulas are not THAT good.. and because sometimes the momma will REJECT a baby that she senses has some "PROBLEM". The VET will be able to give you a much better idea of what is going on with the kitty and what should be done for it.
Keeping the kitten warm is essential so keep it close to your body. You should phone your local shelter and all rescues to see if there is a mother cat nursing kittens presently and perhaps they can put this kitten with her. I would take it to your vet immediately as they can give you the proper formula and applicator. It is probably dehydrated as that happens very quickly with new born kittens. Deb
We think Deb is spot on. Please let us know how things go. We are dog people so we can be of no help but we will put the word out on our blog right now.
Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Right here is the right webpage for anybody who wants to find out about this topic.
You know a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I really would want to…HaHa).

Check out this website with advice on how to take care of abandoned kittens http://www.felinexpress.com/kitten-care/orphaned.asp . Do not give commercial kitten formula unless from a vets office or you can google kitten glop (formula you can make yourself.
we popped over to see what kind of advice you received and we believe that Deb is spot on. Also, did you call the vet? They might be able to help as well.
This kit will need you if it survives,, the only one I have raised was three weeks old and left in a wet field thankfully found.. past on to me.. NAMED MEW... okay, warm yep.. goats milk... if they sell it over there..
It also has to be stimulated at one end after a feed.. Get an eye dropper from your chemist. Drop by drop and every few hours.. hum are you sure you want to do this ???
If you give the kit to a shelter they probably have other things to do.. The kitten is better off with you, but you need to be able to feed it every two hours at least day and night or at least when it yaps and wants feeding.. SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS.. ?
You then have to stimulate the other end and wipe away with a damp tissue.. it's what a mother cat would do.......... KEEP FEEDING and in a few weeks time the kit can be weaned... ... You will have bags under your eye's.. but a very happy kitten.. :-) x x x x
you want to keep the kitten warm that is paramount. If he has fleas, you can put one or two drops of kitten flea treatment (that a vet will give you) on the neck- but only two drops. You want to leave the umbilical alone- it will fall off when it dries out. If it starts bleeding (they sometimes do) you can put the powder on it- they type you use when you cut yourself shaving. Sorry I am bottle feeding every two hours 5 kittens and can't remember my own name right now.
Also, please check out one of my websites www.kitten-rescue.com It will take you through the whole process. You can also email me off my blog www.feralcatbehavior.com my other website felinexpress, I have shut down registration in the forums due to cat-hating trolls- so my blog is the best way to get ahold of me.
Stimulate with a warm washcloth- mom's tongue is like sandpaper, so don't think the cloth will be abrasive. I feed even the newborns a combination of kitten glop- recipe on my website and chicken baby food- it is just better than the commercial formula which can really constipate
Do not give commercial kitten formula unless from a vets office or you can google kitten glop (formula you can make yourself. Challenge coins
BUT you actually should take it to a VET immediately because those equations are not THAT good.. and because sometimes the momma will REJECT a baby that she senses has someChallenge coins
