Wednesday Stuff

Shadow still hasn't brought the kittens back :o( hoping she will so we can keep them safe.  There were some suggestions about me trapping Shadow and have her fixed.  I had planned to do that the last time and never could make it to the training class :o(   And then Shadow would disappear and I would forget, she'd show back up and I'd start thinking I needed to go to the class ... and well, it was just a vicious cycle.

But there is an organization that will teach me to trap her and provide me with the trap.  After trapped  I take her to them and they will spay her and after she recovers I will have to go pick her up and then release her back into the wild ...... never to bring kittens to my balcony again! LOL  This organization is funded for only specific zip codes and mine thankfully is one of them!!! :o) The job I have now should allow me more wiggle room to get a day off to go to the training.

So onto Mom.  She really is doing ok  - all things considered.  She really isn't loosing any more weight ... just loosing muscle tone and body mass.  She is getting a little more confused about things.

To be honest with everyone, it's getting harder for me to go see her .... I don't want to remember her this way.  :o(

Anyway, hope everyone has a good Wednesday!
I'm working on a special post and special graphics for Andy's Belated Birthday!!

I'll leave ya with a few pictures!

Awwww, I hope you are able to catch Shadow, but we bet you will miss the surprise of beautiful kittens visiting, we know we would. Of course, it's the right thing to do. Mummy says...I promise you with all my heart that those memories will fade quicker than you think and only the wonderful ones will stay xxxx

It sounds like you have an awesome organization for TNR in your area! Now if only Shadow shows up again!

My human hears you about your mom - she's had to go through the same thing with close family and friends. :-( She asked me to send you some purrs and to let you know that both you and Judi are in her thoughts.

Best of luck with trapping Shadow. This is great, that you can take this class, and that the organization will spay her, no cost to you. Perfect.

We purr and purray daily for Judi and for you all. Our human can't pretend to know what you're going through, at least not yet, but we're all sending Light and Love.

We continue to purr for your family every day. We understand how you're feeling about your mom--we've had family members with cancer. It is emotionally exhausting to visit, but I know she is grateful for your visits.

Getting Shadow fixed would be great - I know how many kittens came come from one momcat. Our Lily had 3 litters before I could trap her and I was trying daily to get her in the trap. I finally used a dog kennel cage and string to pull the door shut - worked better than the trap. I can give you some suggestions - I have trapped and fixed over 25 cats!Give Judi our love - she really appreciates you being there even if it is hard for you. My dad had pancreatic cancer and it was very hard to visit him but we did. Judi has lasted much longer than my dad did. Thinking of you.

That organization that helps folks in your zip code with TNR sounds terrific. Good luck catching Shadow!

We are purring and praying for you and your Mom, Traci. For the last year of his life, my dad was in a full care facilty, and was not able to recognize me and my sister as his kids. He thought we were nice and all for visiting, but his mind was such that he did not really know who we were. But you know what? As bad as that was, my strongest memories of him are now not from that time, but from other, happier times in our lives. Purrs and prayers that this will happen for you, too.

Oh Tracy - you have to deal with so much. I know it's hard to go see your mother this way, but you need too for her sake and also for your own. Trust me - you will still remember the good things about her and also remember how she looked before all this started. I sympathize with you as "I have been there - done that." Share as much time together as you can because it will all be over soon and nothing but a memory.

Hello dears, all of you.
WE have been thinking of you, just sorry about not visiting. Mom is always busy now.
It is so good to visit your bloggie today though and catch up with the kitties and the goings on.
We have been praying for your mom, and you. We know it is hard to see your mom. Just remember, when you are there with her, we are surrounding you with love and courage. We know that sometimes she is not the person you know, she is so confused. Just know that we are by your side.

Love, bonks and hugs

I hope you can catch Shadow. I feel so bad for you and your Mom. It must be hard for her, too.

Gosh that is great that they have a class in your area for trapping cats. What a wonderful thing to have. Too bad more people don't do that.
We have to agree with everyone else, we know it is hard to go see your Mom, but you will regret it later if you don't go. You will remember the good times for sure and your Mom probably needs your support right now. We sure do send both you and your Mom lots of purrs Tracy.
