Saturday Stuff

We have had a week full of rain ... the balcony is a mess yet again!  Went out to start some laundry to find this ...

Guess Shadow decided to bring the bird channel home ... sure hope we don't have to worry about finding the rest .....

Onto an update on MamaBug

She is better, she isn't as restless any more and some of her confusion is gone.  The thing that has her Dr and Nurse baffled is her child like behavior ... this is not a normal side effect of the medication or the cancer.  They have decreased her anxiety medication and put her on an anti depressant to see if the behavior will change.  She is still very frail and still loosing weight so on Monday she should be moved to a facility .... I had to go pick up the application yesterday after work and I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to say I had a total melt down.

MamaBugs flower from a couple of sweet ladies from my church.

MamaBug misses her cats ALOT.   We have taken pictures to the hospital, but they are so far away and her eye sight isn't the best.  I really don't think she can see them.  Have some frames around here that I will put the pictures into, so she can have them by her bed.

The cats are doing ok, Sierra doesn't seem to know anything is different, she is to busy playing and being squirrley.  Sammy is starved for affection by the time I get home.  Andy is doing ok, his owie is healing nicely.  Shelly is a bit lost, she is MamaBug's cat, but she is adapting to the change.  She has been sleeping with LaurynBug and will actually let me pet her when she is out in the living room now.

My first week of work was awesome!  Sounds like I will always have a job there as long as I don't mind change, and I don't. I tend to get bored easily so change is good!

Thanks for all the love, purrs, purrayers and prayers!!!

xoxoxo,
TraciBug

Feathers... yes... my peep knows that sight only too well. Or so she says. I don't think any of us have caught a bird all year and there are twelve of us here! It does, however, happen occasionally. And then we never hear the end of it.

We don't think any of the cats will put a paw up and say it was them!! We're glad you are enjoying your new job. We are purring hard for your Mom and send kitty kisses.

Oh Traci! This is SO much for you to deal with. I'm so glad that you've kept up the blog. We're here for you to vent to!! Melt downs are A-OK. In fact we'd be worried if you weren't having one from time to time. Take care of yourself!

We continue to pray for your dear, sweet Mom, Traci. I know how difficult it is to see a loved one going through what Judi is going through. Just be sure to take care of yourself. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. (((hugs)) to you and your mom.

Purrs, hugs and prayers to Aunt JudiBug, we all love her so much. Those medicines can cause that no matter what they tell you. The same thing happened with my Dad's Mom several years back. The have to find one that works for her and not just use what they feel like. Hugs!

I think we would have worried more if you had not had a melt down. You are facing a very hard situation and you are doing it with grace and caring. We are sending purrs to Judi and to the whole family.

I hope Shelly bonds with Laurynbug. They will both need the loving bond of a special friend.

Thanks for keeping us posted.

still sending you all purrs and prayers. can't imagine the place you are in, but I bet it's heart wrenching at times. melt downs are ok.

Purrs to you, TraciBug - this is a very difficult time for you and it is pointless to try to be strong every minute.

I don't think you need to worry about finding the rest of that Bird TV cast member - it has probably all been eaten!

sending lots of purrs..... we know she will be well cared for, but you are allowed to melt down. Check with the facility - you might be able to bring one of the cats to visit....

Traci, melt downs are normal and I should think quite healthy, in fact. You have to be able to break down, let out the the tremendous emotion. I hope you all have support too...I know Judi is surrounded by love and support, but you all need it as well.

The boys are very impressed with the feathers...nothing like a good raw meal. LOL.

The boys and I continue to send purrs (well, I'm not purring, though I could try), love and universal Light.

Peace and Blessings,

Kim, Nicki and Derry

Brian is right about medication side effects - we hope she has been put on a safe anti-depressant and will feel better for it soon, but so much care needs to be taken when prescribing psychiatric medications - QM knows too well!
We wanted to thank you for remembering Gentleman Beau on your sidebar :`] That means a lot to us.

Poor little birdie...we think he may have been meant as a prezzie to your family, but somekitty's appetite got the best of him!
Best wishes on the new job, and out prayers and comforting wishes to JudiBug.

Dear Tracy,
My Mom had very child like behavior when she was ill too, and she too missed her cats. Finally I found and bought her a toy cat (almost life size) that looked like her cat, she could have in the hospice and she sat there for hours stroking and petting and talking to it.
It is so difficult going through this. I send you big virtual hugs.

Thinking of you at this difficult time.

By the way, Kizzie has caught several birds in the past week, plus a mouse. The newly fledged birds seem to be the easiest catch for her at the moment.

Some fevvers just aren't that smart. We hope the missing parts did not show up later.

Some places will allow well-behaved kitties to visit. It couldn't hurt to check.

Another option is combining a large purse and quiet kittie.

MamaBug would enjoy the visits, for sure.

Thanks for the update, Traci. I'm sorry to hear about things with your mom--I can't imagine how hard that must be. But it's great that your work is going well!!

Rene said...

I agree with Lee County--maybe one of the cats can visit her. We send you all hugs. Change is hard for everyone.
