SASS was originally started by Mama/JudiBug with two senior Texas dudes (Sammy and Andy) and later added two young sisfurs (Shelly and Sierra). Sammy ran off to the Bridge in May of 2012 and Andy April 2013. Our dear, sweet Mama/JudiBug passed in November of 2012, after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. TraciBug is now attempting to keep the blog going. Polli and Boston were added to the family in the summer of 2013.
Us boys spend a lot of time together......we even enjoy dining together. You can't tell cuz we're blocking them, but we each have our own bowl.
Shelly has her own bowl, too, but never eats with us....(Andy won't allow it!!!!)

Binga and Boodie eat near each other - all the better to steal each other's food! Even though they are eating the same amount of the same thing most of the time. I eat separately so my food doesn't get stolen.

Awwww, you boys are so nice to each other. Three of us eat in the same room, a little bit apart, but Phantom gets to eat alone since he takes such a long time.

When Annie was still alive, Derry would eat his dry beside Nicki (two bowls, Derry on the right, Nicki on the left). But Derry really would only eat his canned from Annie's spot at the top of the basement steps, a few feet away.
Now that's she's gone, Derry continues to prefer his canned in the same old spot--he'll often try to bury *the same* canned if it's presented to him in Nicki's spot (where Derry will eat the kibble).
So eating habits can be kind of odd!
That's ok, we all eat separately here. It's just better that way.

Poor little Shelly, all by her self! Maybe one day the boys will let her in. This is my first visit and I think Andy is such a handsome kitty. I love his black tail and spots! Pokey dots are so fashionable!

We're so happy you came by to visit us yesterday after our extended absence (and in between, too!). We love y'all and have missed you too. And gosh do we know what you mean about this horrid hot summer...we haven't gotten to go outside at all in the evenings with The Mommy. She says there's something called a 'cool front' coming that will maybe make things better. We'll see...
