Woeful Wednesday

Shelly here again today to report........

all three of us are unhappy
with mama, cuz she hasn't been
helping us visit our friends

She says it's cuz she has
"Oak Fever".  The Live Oak
trees are blooming here
and their pollen gives her
headaches, and also makes
her want to sleep all the time!!!!

The boys are unhappy, cuz
mama won't let them out
on the balcony because
it has so much Oak pollen on
it.....they get it in their furs
and bring it back into the house.
When they get on mama's
bed they leave the terrible pollen
there for her!!!!!

I told the boys they should go
out and clean it up for mama,
but all they did was have a hissy
fit and chase me back into
what I consider "my bedroom!!!"

Why don't they like me?????

Sammy chases me away and Andy
hisses and growls at me.....
and tells me he's gonna write to
Santy Paws to find me a different
home!!!!!!!  Doesn't he know he needs
to be good to me or he won't
get anymore treats????????

Please be purring for me.........I just
wanna be friends with them!!!!!!

Love and Purrs,

Shelly

Shelly, I am sorry the boys aren't friendlier with you! But I think they are a bit set in their ways, and it takes longer for senior kitties like them to adjust to change, like having a youngster around like you!

Poor Shelly....You just need another kitty your age to play with. MOL!

Purrs to you, sweetheart, and purrs to your mom too, that she's better soon. Allergies are yucky to deal with. We hope your mom has some good (over the counter) meds for that.

I'm sure those boys will come round soon enough once they really get to know you. Hang on in there and i'm sure it will all be fine in the end :)xx

The boys will come around, Shelly. It took months before Sweet Pea accepted Rosie. Have you tried rescue remedy? It helps kitties relax.

Your pal, Pip

P.S.: Catsinternational.org has lots of great info on introducing new cats.

Shelly Mom has the same problem with the oak pollen...well she doesn't get a headache but it sticks to her contacts and makes her eyes itch so today she is looking very studious in her glasses.

Shelly you are welcome to teleport over here and leave those two silly boys behind. They are just jealous because you are so pretty and will have plenty of mancat admirers.
We hope Judi will soon feel better and the oak pollen abates.

Sweet Shelly, I'm so sorry your brothers aren't very friendly yet. Sometimes these things just take time...you know how slow boys are ;-) Be patient beautiful girl.

PS - we hope your mum is feeling better soon!

Our mom has those allergies too so she is sympathizing with your mom.

Don't worry about the boys - sometimes it just takes longer for some guys to adjust to change.

Oh dear. That sounds horrible. Acupuncture can be a great help with allergies. The Woman used to suffer here but then she became and acupuncturist and got acupuncture and now she only has a hard time when traveling to places like Ohio...

We're sorry that allergies are getting your mom down, Shelly! But you know what? I don't care if those boys like you or not. My 2 brothers hated me when I moved in. I hated them, too. We learned to co-exist by staying the heck away from each other. We lived like that for over 10 years! So keep your head up high - your mom loves you and that's all that matters!

Your friend, Fuzzy

Shelly, we think you need to write your own letter to SantaPaws, giving your side of the story.

Hang in there, Shelly! Sammy and Andy are nice boys; maybe they just need some time to get used to you. Purrs to you all, and especially for you Mama (allergies are no fun!).

Sweet Shelly, I understand. I had to come here when my Mom died. I just wanted to be loved and have new friends. Kirby and I are getting along fairly well, but Angel still hisses and growls sometimes. We have made a lot of progress in the last week or so, after 9 months. Hopefully your brothers will get nicer soon! Mac

Shelly, your mom won't ever let you get sent away! Has she tried using a Feliway diffuser to calm the boys? It's worth a try.

And don't worry about those boycats. I got two of them here and they don't like me much either.
