Our mama has been stressing out over the
tortie that has been visiting us.....If you are
a follower, you will know that she comes down
off the roof onto our second floor balcony.
Mama has named her Shelly and has been
trying to tame her, but Sammy is a problem
as he's very territorial and he keeps scaring her away.
Andy and her have been nose to nose.....
(while Sammy was sleeping)
and Andy is most accepting of her.
If you are a frequent visitor to our blog,
you know that Andy is a total love.
Our mom has stood fairly close to her......
and she is okay as long as the door
is between her and mama.
Shelly has to more or less walk a tightrope to get to
our balcony, but she keeps coming back again and again.
Mama is wondering if she didn't live in this
apartment and her humans went off and left
here.....but that is just a supposition.
Shelly has to walk on this narrow blue fence
and up the tarp, which covers the area where
our outside washer and dryer are, then jump up on
the roof over our storage area...not an easy task!!!
She now has her own food dish and doesn't
have to eat out of the Boost box!!!!!
If we could just get Sammy to chill out!!!!!!!!
Sadly, Shelly appears to be in season now......
mama was hoping to get her inside before that
happened. Please be purraying for her and
us and the whole situation...
xxxxxx

Sammy, of course it's important to protect from introoders, but we think it's time to welcome Shelly in. Poor thing needs to come in from the cold! Maybe she'd be nice to snuggle with?
Yes, you'd best take sweet Shelly (?) in before there are lots of little Shellies running around. She is adorable, like a little KC.
And she must be frozen with the unseasonable weather we are having lately.
Love & Purrs,
ML & KC
Hopefully Sammy will soon realise than Shelly is a kitty in need and will offer the paw of friendship. Shelly sure is a cutie and I bet she is so grateful to be welcomed on your balcony xx
I do hope the guard kitty will give in and let the little one in. She does NOT need to be out in the weather this time of year. She is a cutie.
Lets hope she does get her forever home with you, and soon too.
We might get to see a new litter of kittens, huh? That would be nice, but I really hope not for more than obvious reasons.
We will purr that efurrything works out and Sammy is accepting. We know he is only trying to protecy against introoders, he's not norty.
Poor sweet Shelley, she is a cutie and we're purring for that sweetie.
Oh Sammy, you gotta give Andy a chance at winning over his lady love!
~Slash & Bronzy
We're purraying that Sammy and Shelly become friends and she realises how good it is with you and stays!
We will definitely purr for adorable Shelly and that Sammy will let her come inside! What a cutie!
Shelly is beautiful I hope and pray she was not abandoned and maybe just likes to visit for extra food and company. Andy certainly does have a big tail in the first picture.
Hugs Madi and Mom
Oh, Shelly's a sweetie. We hope everything works out for her. We're glad she's getting food and water at your place!
Shelly looks so tiny next to Andy on your balcony - she seems to be a very gentle little lady cat. We hope she doesn't get caught and end up having kittens. Sammy please let Shelly come in and let your mom look after her while it is cold and she is very vulnerable.
Your so nice to take care of her... poor girl! Hopefully she'll stay away from the boycats.

Oh bless your heart. Shelly is a beautiful girl! Come on, Andy, show your brofur how to treat a lady and welcome her in. :-)
Poor Shelly she needs to be in and safe. We are prying the situation gets all better and you can get her in before she has more kitties to be cared for. Wishing you the very best in this situation. Hugs and nose kisses for all
We can understand why your Mom is stressing, but she is so good to leave food and water for Shelly. We hope it all works out, do you think Shelly is a stray? Poor thing, we hope she can find somewhere warm to stay.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Poor Shelly. We wonder how people could just leave their pets behind. Hopefully your mom can catch her before she gets in the family way. Could somebody loan her a trap maybe?
Poor Shelly. We know how your Mom feels. Our Mom is so upset about a poor kitty that she feeds outside. It is so cold she worries about this sweet boy.
She is very cute. There has to be some way to catch her and take her in to be spayed. And no kitty should be out in this weather, especially not a kitty who may have once been used to being inside.
Poor Shelley. We hope she can be trapped before she gets in kitten. Aww come on Sammy, she is a cute little lady. Try and offer her the paw of friendship.
We Purray dat Shelly getz a Furefer Home soon before she haz more babiez. It'z good your mama feedz her and givez her water. She'z soooo Cute and sure goez thru a lot to getz here.
Our Mom put foodz in a carrier (we haz big onez)and by da 3rd day Ana wentz in to eat (and i knowz dis soundz mean..... but) mom got da food outz real quick shut da door and Ana waz on da way to da V E T to be spayed. They took care of her as a feral so it waz cheaper.
Jus sayin ....
Hope it all workz out for Shelly ~
Shelly looks so sweet. We sure hope your Mom can get her before she ends up having babies. Sammy, please try to be more accepting of her.

Oh Shelly is a beautiful girl - it is too bad she is outside but oh we hope that Sammy will chill out a bit and accept her. And it is so wonderful of you to give her food and take care of her as you do already - and boy, the boost box wouldn't be a bad dish if you fill it up - that would be HUGE! And oh that picture of her with Andy is just so adorable! We are sending her lots of purrs and prayers to be safe until you are able to have her in!
Poor precious beautiful Shelly. Darling..let yourself be taken and Sammy, please Honey, back off a little?

Purrs and prayers, Mama

Aww, poor Shelly! You are so good to look after her! I will be purring that the whole situation works out!!
I bet you are right about someone leaving her behind ...my paws are crossed that things will work out and she can come inside. There's lots of great information about introducing new cats at catsinternational.org. We have consulted with them several times.
Your pal, Pip
We hope everything works out with sweet Shelly! She is lucky to have you looking out for her :-) Hopefully Sammy will come around.
Bless you for looking out for Shelly! poor thing! We hope Sammy will come around. We guess it's a testament to Tortitude that she does what she does to visit! Purrs from all of us,
Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
That is so nice that your mommie feel Shelly. I am thinking that maybe Sammy likes her but when she is around he pretends not to so no one will know. Keep an eye on him and see if this is true.
I hope Sammy will decide to accept Shelley. It very well may be that she used to live there. It happens all to often that people just move and leave them behind. She is really pretty.
She must know that you are a good and kind person or else she wouldn't travel such a hard journey to her house.
Purrs and hugs from all of us.
Oh Shelly is so pretty!! We hope Sammy comes around soon but we understand that territorial stuff. We are purring for all of you.
Wow, this story sounds familiar! Flash back 15 years and Shelly could be Fuzzy. I was convinced she had a home, but she just loved to come inside mine. When I heard her outside one night, singing away, I snatched her up and decided that if she WAS someone else's cat, they didn't deserve her. The boys never did like her, but they all learned to co-exist without too much stress.
It's so nice that you are looking out for Shelly and giving her food. We send Shelly purrs for it all to work out for the very best of efurryone.
I know how stressful that can be. I hope everything works out for Shelly and you. Poor kitty...people here have walked out and left their pets behind around here which we find absolutely horrible. They could at least take them to the shelter which is a no kill shelter instead of leaving them to starve and be on their own. I can relate to Sammy's position because of a cat I had and loved for 15 years many years ago. Phoenix was an only cat and she would not accept another kitty in the household. Dogs were fine but if she even saw a kitty outside walking by the window, she went crazy on me. She would scream and try and tear the blinds off of of the window if the kitty came too close. No other kitties allowed and all the dogs you want. I hope everything works out. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Poor Shelly! That is quite an obstacle course she goes through to get to you, my goodness.
