Our apartment is on the second floor, and there
are two kitties that come to visit us on the roof,
and they have also found a way down onto our
balcony.
In the daytime Sammy runs them off, but we are
sure there are kitty visitors at night when Sammy
can't run them off.

Saturday morning Sammy was on the balcony and
caught smells that didn't belong to us.
Mama saw him checking out everywhere on
our balcony and snapped a few pictures
After taking several photos, mama came back in the
house and left Sammy to his inspection of things....
before long we heard a loud noise on the balcony....
Sisterbean was the first one there and you'll never
guess where she found our Sammy!!!!!!!!!!!

Once he had checked out the yard, he started
looking up at us and asking us to please come and
get him and take him home!!!!!!! He had to remain
there for a couple hours.....until someone
answered their door.

We are sure he was trying to get onto the
roof to check out those other kitties and fell.
It is tricky paw work to get from the roof
down onto the fence that goes across our balcony
...or from our balcony up onto the narrow fence
and then a giant leap to the roof.....

Sammy seems none the worse for his fall.......
and we are soooooooo happy to have him home again!!!

Sammy!!! You must be careful - just ignore those outdoor visitors. I think they may be trying to lead you astray.
My mom's first cat (when she was a little girl) used to sneak off the balcony. They lived in an apartment on the second floor and this crazy cat would scale the walls, up and down - he could literally walk up and down the brick wall. He always came back and never got hurt. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to any other kitties out there.

OMC, Sammy...What an adventure! We're glad you weren't hurt. Thank goodness for that fenced yard, though our Nicki would have been over it in two seconds. Gees....We bet you gave your mom heart failure (almost). Please don't do that again. Adventures are fun and all, but you need to stay safe!
