Sorry, no hattings again today. Mama and Sisterbean
have been trying to get Shelly introduced to us and
inside on a permanent basis.
Shelly comes in the house now and will stay until
she gets frightened.......mama leaves
the balcony door open for her so she can
escape when she feels the need..
She acts totally at home most of the time
and loves to be petted by mama and sisterbean.
Yesterday morning she allowed LaurynBean to
pet her for a short while.
We live in a small apartment, except for our living room,
and there is really no room that mama can put Shelly into
until us boys totally accept her....so mama is doing
what she can do to introduce us to each other.
More about Shelly tomorrow.
More about Shelly tomorrow.

Well, if anyone knows about adapting, it ISN'T us....we've been living with the Dawg (Ellwood) for over 4 months and we still don't like him, but we are senior kitties and have been so spoiled all our lives that we just don't want to give up our Mom to that dawg...even though he is permanently established in our house. I think you guys will be much nicer to Shelly than we are to the Dawg...I'm sure soon you'll be playing together and sleeping with each other...Mom would like us to be doing all that with the Dawg, but I keep telling her: 'I don't think so!!' Tell me though, WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you were us?? Purrs, Lautrec, Tiny and, uh, Whats-his-name-dawg
We agree with Praline! It's always fun when you add a tortie! We sure hope the boys get used to Shelley...she's absolutely adorable!
She is just beautiful! It sounds like you are making great progress! Keep up the good work.
Your pal, Pip
Shelly is beautiful and a very lucky kitty to have landed on your balcony. It has been our experience that adult, neutered males are more accepting than adult, spayed females....
Hugs Madi and MOm
Oh Shelly my lovely girl. You are such a fortunate baby that you have a new mama! xoxox
You know my mom called her Shellybean as soon as she saw her picture and name. She is a beautiful girl. We just know she will have a lovely and loving home with your family. We are looking forward to learning more about her.
She sure is pretty. We hope they all start to get along so Shelly can have a new home. Those are great pictures of her. It sounds like she is really warming up to all of you. WE love hearing about this. One more kitty off the streets or off the roof. Take care.
Shelley has such a pretty face and lovely eyes - we think she seems very calm in her pictures and we know you boys won't be mean to her - if we hear you are we will come over and whap you!!

Wow, that's amazing progress! She is such a pretty kitty, though she looks a bit thin. We hope she's inside permanently soon.
Shelly is such a cutie and just the fact that she is coming in at all tells me it won't take her long to adjust!!!
Shelly you are gorgeous. Enjoy your time coming in and getting to know the boys!
What a lovely Tortie girl. She already looks as if she owns the place.
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! Sammy & Andy have a new sister!!! How exciting! Now we just need to get her to the vet for a checkup!
WHAT GREAT PICTURES!!!
Shelly is beautiful! We hope the integration goes well...looks like she's home to us! You boys be nice, those Tortie gals have CATTITUDE.
Mommy says thank you for your prayers.
that is really great progress. Shelly is so pretty, hard to believe she doesn't have a home. Good luck with the introductions.

Judi, I'm so glad you've decided to give Shelly a home! Like the others said, Shelly's a tortie so there may be a little cattitude to deal with. However, the main thing is just time. I'm sure she'll get scared from time to time, but it will be ok. When we rescued Bucky, there were spats since like you, we don't have an extra room, but overall it worked out. Can't wait to hear more!
I am sure that Shelly will be totally In Like Flynn... very much soon. Keep us posted!!
It just takes time...I hope all the introductions go well. :)
Shelley is beautiful! Her markings are gorgeous. She probably wonders as to how did she get so lucky running into two handsome mancats. She probably will end up falling in love with them.
I am anxious to follow her progress in becoming one of the family. I don't think it will be long.
Sending hugs and purrs to all

You are being very good to Shelly!! She will do almost anything for your love and food!! The boys are probably a little jealous......
I have missed you! Blogger has not been playing nice for a week until today. I came earlier and tried to leave a comment but it wouldn't let me, here's hoping for tonight!!
