Thankful Andy

Quite a few of our friends have remarked on how well we get along. Sammy was nearly 3 years old, when mama found me on the shoulder of a busy street.....v-e-t said I couldn't be more than a week to ten days old.

Mama really worried about how Sammy would accept me, so for my safety she fixed me a nice comfy little bed in a box and kept me closed in a room by myself for a while. Sammy spent most of his time laying on the floor just outside my door. So as soon as I was able get around a little, mama would let Sammy and I spend time together.

To make a long story short, Sammy fell immediately in love with me, and we have spent most of our time together ever since....mama says Sammy "mothered" me, but I looked at him as more of a father figure....and since adulthood, I have looked on him as my best bud.

It's been a wonderful 9 years for me, and I am so thankful for Sammy and Mama and our home.

Love and purrs,

Andy

Having a best buddy is awesome, isn't it?

Grayson was about a year old and Gandalf was only 3 weeks when Momma brought us home. Grayson immediately adored Gandalf, while Gandalf was very askeered of Grayson for a few months. They've been best buds ever since.

It's such a wonderful story about how you were found and nurtured by your human mother, as well as your brother. Dante is also a motherly male kitty. He was very protective of Dylan when he was small and would groom him constantly.

Sammy sounds like a wonderful big brother to have. You certainly landed in the best forever home you could have wished for. Here's to many more happy years together!

Oh Andy what a sweet post about your big brother! It is funny, because our boy Floyd, who looked so much like Sammy, was very "mothering" to Lola when we got her - and he was about the same age (well, probably closer to 4 but still). It doesn't surprise me that a big black floofball would be so sweet at all!

What a sweet story and even more special because it is a true story.

I love the pictures.

Everyone needs a best buddy and Sammy and Andy are lucky to have each other and to have you as their mom.

That's such a sweet story. I am happy that Arthur accepted Rosie immediately and they are so well together, but my poor Pookie never forgave me to have brought a kitten home she just doesn't like Rosie.
